The WCARA monthly program meeting is at 7:00pm at the VOA bulding on the second Monday of each month. A technical program dealing with various aspects of amateur radio and communications is presented.
The membership decided at the August technical meeting to change the business meeting to two Saturdays before the monthly technical meeting. The members felt that this would give more lead time to manage the business affairs before the monthly meeting. It will continue to be a breakfast meeting, with an email reminder notification sent to all members.
A 2m net is held each Monday evening (except on the second Monday meeting night) at 8:00pm on the WCARA - WC8VOA 145.39- repeater. No tone access is required. All amateurs are welcome to participate, and net control is shared by members per the schedule on this website.
A one position operating station has been activated using a trailer mounted beam antenna at the east end of the VOA bulding. It is operational on the 40, 20, 15, and 10 meter bands with a maximum power output of 800 watts.
The Voice of America building is located at 8070 Tylersville Rd, in West Chester. This is about 1/2 mile east of the I75-Tylersville Rd. exit.
Guests are welcome at all technical meetings.
